On Monday, May 12, Bear Creek School hosted its much-anticipated annual Fun(d) Run, affectionately known as the "Running of the Bears." This high-energy event, organized by the school's Parent-Teacher Organization, brought students, staff, and families together for a day filled with fitness, fun, friendship, and lasting memories—all in support of enhancing student experiences.

Elizabethtown Area High School Celebrates Class of 2025 Senior Awards

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly recognized the accomplishments of its graduating seniors during the 2025 Senior Awards Ceremony. The event celebrated excellence in academics, leadership, community service, the arts, and career aspirations. This year, 77 seniors were recognized and received certificates, monetary awards and/or scholarships totaling over $102,000 with over 55 organizations and/or groups participating.

Elizabethtown Area School District’s elementary technology and STEAM teams were honored with a Program Excellence Award from the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA). Elizabethtown was one of only 20 programs nationwide — and one of just three in Pennsylvania — recognized at ITEEA’s 87th Annual Conference, held in April in St. Louis, Missouri.

Board Approves 2025-2026 Preliminary Budget

At its regularly scheduled action meeting on April 22, 2025, the Board of School Directors approved the 2025-2026 preliminary budget for the Elizabethtown Area School District. The proposed spending plan totals $81,793,887 and includes a 2.5% increase in the real estate tax rate, bringing the new millage rate to 20.2848 mills.
